Hospice Chaplains
“We are there to be there. That is the point. It is my job to stay when there is no answer.” The Rev. Kei Okada, hospice chaplain interviewed for an article in the NY Times on Hospice Chaplains.
Yes, it was nice to see such important work getting a little recognition! Institutional Chaplaincy is really one of the cutting edges of mission in the post-Christendom church right now--It's fascinating how its popularity (i.e. people asking to see a Chaplain) is mostly due to word-of-mouth or previous positive experiences. -t
